Common Questions
How is foil different from balayage?
Foils create precise, controlled placement from root to end, ideal for full brightness or a fully blonde result. Balayage is hand painted and better suited to soft, low maintenance grow-out. Many guests use both together depending on the goal.
How long do foil highlights last before I need a touch-up?
Most guests return every 8 to 12 weeks, depending on how much natural regrowth contrast feels comfortable and how light the foundation color is.
Can foils blend my gray instead of covering it completely?
Yes. Gray blending uses the same foil and balayage techniques, placed to soften the transition between your natural gray and your color rather than covering it completely.
What's the difference between a full and partial highlight?
A full highlight places foils throughout the entire head for maximum brightness. A partial highlight focuses on the areas that show the most, the face, crown, and top layers, and works well for maintaining color between full services.
