Meet the team behind West Coast Hair Design, Jacksonville hair colorists and stylists who genuinely love what they do. We specialize in balayage, lived in color, blonding, foil highlights, modern gray coverage, gray blending, dimensional brunettes, curly hair, and precision haircuts.

We’re one closely connected team. We share formulas, techniques, ideas, and a lot of experience. Everyone has their own specialties, but nobody keeps what they know to themselves. That’s a big part of what makes West Coast, West Coast.

Every stylist here welcomes new guests. If the stylist you’re hoping to see is booked, we can add you to their cancellation list or help you find another stylist on our team who’s a great fit.

Education is a big deal around here

Every new stylist trains alongside several of our senior colorists, and our assistant program typically takes one to three years. Once they’re working independently, the education keeps going.

Our team has trained with Ashlee Norman, Masters of Balayage, Business of Balayage, L’Oréal Professionnel, Redken, Bumble and bumble, and other leading educators in our industry. West Coast Hair Design was the first salon in Jacksonville certified by Business of Balayage, and our Education Director, Heather Lucas, is a Certified Redken Colorist and one of only thirty stylists nationally selected for the House of Bumble Collective.

That commitment to education is one of the reasons our team can specialize at such a high level while still learning from one another. Balayage, lived in color, blonding, foil highlights, modern gray coverage, gray blending, dimensional brunettes, curly hair, and precision cutting all require different skills. We make sure those skills keep evolving.
